“ My girlfriend and I originally stopped into Skinner’s Loft, hoping to catch the last 10 minutes of happy hour at an empty bar—only to be completely ignored by the bartender until two minutes after the top of the hour. Disappointed, we looked across the street and spotted Better Days. Deciding to give it a try turned out to be the best call of the night. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was completely different. Our waiter, Jose, greeted us with a big smile and instantly became our personal menu consultant. He didn’t steer us wrong. We started with the Vietnamese meatballs and the chicken bites. The meatballs tasted like little bites of banh mi—savory, slightly sweet, and packed with flavor. The chicken bites were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside—absolutely perfect. Torn between the wagyu French Dip and the new wagyu burger, we asked for Jose’s take. He told us the French Dip was the top-selling long sandwich and the burger was brand new. Since I hadn’t had a French Dip in ages, we went with that—plus an order of truffle fries. The French Dip was phenomenal. Tender wagyu slices, melty cheese, sweet caramelized onions, all held together by a perfectly toasted sourdough roll. The fries were delicious too—could’ve used a bit more crispiness, but still solid. We wrapped up with the Basque cheesecake, and wow—the burnt top added a caramelized candy shell that made it unlike any cheesecake I’ve had. Better Days is a gem. The food, service, and vibe all exceeded expectations. It’s everything the place across the street used to be—and more. Highly recommend ”

“ I heard from a couple people that Better Days had a new chef and a menu change that I should check out. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed. Top notch experience all around! The food was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the flavor combinations were out of this world. The mussels, swordfish and cauliflower were my favorite. The panna cotta dessert was quite literally the best I’ve ever had in my life. Drinks were balanced and tasty. If you haven’t tried this spot I highly recommend it. I also went to their speakeasy downstairs called 143 Social and had an awesome time after dinner for a few more cocktails. The ambiance is sexy/dark and the bartenders are so inviting and knowledgeable. I'm definitely coming back! ”

“ We have a pleasure to dine in their secret basement bar, it was tricky to get there, you got to pass the restaurant and take the stairs to the basement and I was impressed of how they put up this place, the drinks is unbelievable, the food is so good although they only serve small plates on the menu, out server is helpful and attentive, everything is little pricey but it’s worth the experience, I highly recommend this place to try. ”

“ Went to Better Days for a double date. We had brunch. The vibes were casual, but elevated. We sat on a very comfy booth. We had coffee and mimosas. The mimosa tasted like the orange juice was freshly squeezed. Very good. We also had the wagyu burger, the shakshuka, and a regular three eggs any style breakfast with thick cut bacon. We were all extremely pleased with our food. Even the non-alcoholic drinks were really fantastic. The staff was extremely nice and very attentive. ”

“ Cute space with friendly service and a NJ-focused beer menu. I tried the Better Days “Rum Punch” which was refreshing and tropical - it is a milky punch but that only adds to its refreshing nature. The AC works really well and is a good place to enjoy some drinks with friends. ”
